My interview with Authority Magazine: Strategies for rebuilding life after trauma
Dec 21, 2025
I was recently interviewed by Authority Magazine about rebuilding life after trauma - specifically, the hard lessons I learned from my own divorce and what that journey taught me about the difference between knowing your wounds and truly healing them.
The interview covers what I discovered the hard way: that you can understand your patterns intellectually, explain exactly where they came from, and still unconsciously recreate them. That awareness alone isn't healing. That becoming 'OK' doesn't mean having it all figured out - it means developing the capacity to hold whatever arises with compassion, instead of fear.
I shared my story not because it's unique, but because it's universal. So many of us have done therapy, read the books, analysed our childhoods - and yet we still find ourselves stuck in the same cycles. The missing piece isn't more understanding. It's working with the body, not just the mind. It's releasing what the nervous system has been holding, not just talking about it.
If you've ever felt the gap between knowing why you do something and being able to change it, this interview will resonate. It's about what happens when we stop performing healing and start diving right in.
