Let's talk
Karine Flynn, Somatic Release Therapist

For when you're ready to be truly met - not managed.

You understand why you feel this way. So why can't you change it?

For those who've done the work, read the books, tried the approaches - and still find themselves in the same place. Your body holds what your mind cannot release.

The Analysis Trap

You can explain your patterns perfectly.
But knowing hasn't changed the feeling.

You know why you people-please until you explode. Why your stomach knots when someone's mood shifts. Why you choose the familiar, even when the familiar hurts.

But the feeling is still there - in your chest, your gut, your jaw, your sleepless nights.

That gap between knowing and changing isn't a willpower problem. It isn't a therapy problem. It's a body problem.

Trauma and emotional patterns aren't stored in your thoughts. They live in your nervous system - in the tissues, the cells, the automatic responses that fire before you've even had a thought.

You've been trying to think your way out of what your body has been holding. That's why understanding alone hasn't been enough.

What becomes possible

When the body is finally included

The tightness in your chest that greets you every morning - it softens.

The situations that used to take you days to recover from - they lose their grip.

That cycle you've promised yourself you'd break - it actually changes.

You stop bracing for difficult feelings and start moving through them. Your body stops feeling like the enemy and becomes, for the first time, your home.

What you once called weakness - that vulnerability you've spent years protecting yourself from - turns out to be your pathway to freedom.

And you start walking it. Freely. Untethered.
Finally just you - and that being enough.

You've read the books.

Done the work.

Searched for the answers.

Now let's find out which path is yours.

I'm ready to go beyond insight

I've done years of deep work. I understand my patterns. I'm not looking for more insight - I'm ready to go beyond it. Into the body. Into what no amount of talking has reached.

The Somatic Release Intensive

I'm curious what the body can do

I've tried therapy. Things have helped - a little, for a while. But the patterns keep returning. Less talk, more depth - and something about working with the body has caught my attention. Like it might be the piece I've been missing.

The Loop

Hello, I'm Karine

I know what it's like to understand yourself deeply - and still feel stuck.

For over two decades I've been working with self-aware people at exactly this point - where insight ends and something deeper needs to begin. I integrate Somatic Psychology, Emotional Release, Internal Family Systems, Compassionate Inquiry and Behavioural Analysis - not as separate tools, but as one coherent pathway to embodied change.

But what I've come to understand goes beyond method.

When I'm with a client, I bring my full self - then step aside. My attention narrows entirely to what they're experiencing - their body, their nervous system, the patterns moving through them in real time.

This quality - called Therapeutic Presence by researchers Shari Geller & Leslie Greenberg, Nervous System Co-regulation by Peter Levine and Empathetic Witness by Gabor Maté - is something I've been intuitively harnessing for decades and is the strongest predictor of how transformational the work will be. The knowledge and experience operate in the background, while presence is what makes the room safe enough to go somewhere real. Not the method. The meeting.

To feel fully seen and held is arguably the most transformative and profound experience a human being can have.

"The healing I've experienced since I've been working with Karine is truly beyond words. Never once have I felt her not fully present with me - her care, attunement, and steady presence are always there. She is so with me every step of the way, helping me come home to myself."

The Space Between

There's a space between where you are and where you want to be.
There's a space between what you know and what you can't yet feel.
There's a space between sessions - where life happens, where the work integrates, where something quietly shifts.

Fortnightly. Honest. Written from inside the work - for those still finding their way, for those already walking it, and for those who carry it with them long after. No sales pitch. Just presence, on the page.
